Fault Descriptions: Grey screen with vertical lines, cannot log in most of time.
AMD GPU failing, but not completely dead yet
Solution: Remove all AMD GPU functions and connect the screen direct to internal Intel graphics chip.
Result:
- No software including Photoshop are affected by the removal of AMD GPU.
- MacBook is running 15 °C cooler than before. GPU overheating problem fixed forever.
- Battery lasts about 10% longer than before.
